That is simply incredible. Not because she doesn't deserve it, but check out the company she is in. I wonder who the last first team All American from UD was in ANY sport.

Congratulations to Mandi, the team, and Coach and their accomplishments which make this award even possible.

Just got word from Mr. Doug Hauschild that the last All-America at UD wasn't even that long ago, and I completely blanked on this. The unbelievable numbers Matt Champa put up in 2007 made him an FCS First Team All-American pick.

No disrespect to Mr. Champa, but FCS football is not the highest level of Div 1football. I believe that Mandi is THE first UD 1st team All American in a college sport in Div 1 at the highest level. Am I right about that?

May and Horan I believe were First Teamers in various reputable sources.

We can now add T&F thrower Mallory Barnes to the list...

She placed sixth at NCAA's a couple weeks back to earn First Team All-American honors, and was just the third UD trackster to compete at the national meet.

Two official D-1 All-Americans in one year, not too shabby!
