GW is the first step to getting that title... I want the 4 Seniors to go out with an NCAA Tourney Bid.

Was there to see it. Game got a little rugged midway through the 2nd half when the stripes swallowed their whistles. Bodies colliding & flying everywhere, with few if any calls. In one sequence that lasted @ 2 minutes, Dillard went down holding his left shoulder, Paulie must have gotten kneed or kicked while chasing a loose ball, and Luke got his bell rung while going for a rebound/loose ball. KD shrugged it off (but Arch gave him a few extra breaks, I'm guessing as a precaution), PW had to leave but he came back for FT shooting at the end, and LF went out never to return tonight. 6,000 sounded like 12,000 with all the booing.

Part of the problem was (wait for it...) DJ Carstensen was one of the stripes tonight. He seemed to only call stuff on G-Dub if it was painfully obvious or if the play was right in front of Archie. The other 2 (Lamar Simpson & Larry Scirotto) were pretty decent compared to what the A-10 has sent to the Arena on many occasions. Still, GW was down 5 in the foul count early in the 1st half, and up @ 4 early in the 2nd half (we had already been whistled for 5 personals by the 14-minute mark). Not exactly "consistency", IMHO, as both teams played with a good deal of intensity for much of the game.

On an "up" note, when we were running-out the clock at the end, GW called-off the dogs, and their guys started going around the court shaking hands with & giving "congrats" hugs to our guys. Classy gesture on their part.

Now, let's go win that tie-breaker in AC on Friday night! :yay::clap::yay:

There was 1 set in the 2nd half where the GW point was trying to put some dribble moves on KD from the top of the key. 2, maybe 3 times on this one possession, KD cut the guy off, prevented the reverse-spin move, and forced him to reset back up top. The crowd gave KD a well-deserved round of cheers for that effort.

Nice to see him getting that part of his game in order. Of course, knowing who he'll be facing on Friday, he'll need all of that and then some.
