UD goes for the sweep of Xavier, and another perfect conference season, on the road at Cintas Center. UD will be the #1 seed in the A10 Tournament, while X will be the #2 seed in the A10 Tournament.

Take it to the Muskies, Ladies! Sweep 3 sets, and do it convincingly! We know you've got it in you!

Here in Nebraska, we have a horrible streaming video feed tonight. The Internet Traffic Report for North America (http://www.internettrafficreport.com/namerica.htm)isn't looking too good right now. Even the listed Cincinnati server is down...

I've got Ud 19, X 16 as I type.

Go Flyers!

25-18 Flyers final! Flyers win. A-10 conference sweep. Kray was a beast in that fourth set.

Great win. XU is so tough to scheme and counter. Plus they are great on their home court. They were on a roll since last losing to us. Glad we could finish what we started and sour up their senior night just a bit. The more we can get into their heads that they cannot beat us, the better.

Thought were started slow early on. Very little defense. In fact, we hit for a lesser percentage each set. Down into the low .100s in the last set. You rarely win sets hitting that low a percentage. Campbell didnt get going. But Kray came through and took a ton of swings. Put them down when we needed them.

We can play much better, but we DID just beat the second best team in the league on their home floor. Like I say a lot, if UD plays their best and everyone else plays their best, nobody can beat us in the A10. If we're not sharp, things can happen.

So here's hoping we bring the heat in Pittsburgh next week.

On another note, UC had a 2-0 lead on ND and lost in 5 sets in South Bend. ND is 20-6 and 13-1 in the Big East. We shredded UC. Bearcats are pretty good but they have played a brutal schedule.

The sideout percentage tells a lot about your serving, blocking and the other team's passing. We were really consistent hitting 69%, 70%, 60% and 66% in the four sets. Xavier had a sideout percentage of 62%, 81%, 45% and 47%. You aren't going to win many sets when the other team has a sideout percentage of 81%

It is possible that Xavier executed poorly in sets 3 and 4 but it is more likely that Kelly adjusted something after set 2. Kelly has said in the past that they are a rhythm blocking team and many times their blocking improves as the match goes on. When a team runs fast, low sets like Xavier it is really really tough to block them.

I'll ask Kelly if they made adjustments or simply executed better after set 2.
