We all know Tillman is easily their best player, 17.7 PPG 9.5 RPG... Jenkins is pretty darn good as well at 13.5 PPG... Williams averages over 6 assists a night.

As someone who has watched almost every VCU game this year either in person or on TV, there are two keys to this game.

1) Stop Jenkins and Vann. Those guys are their streaky scorers. When they are off or not playing well, VCU typically does not do well. When they are on, VCU rides their hot shooting. To a lesser extent, you could add Crowfield to this list as well. Tillman is going to get his numbers, so you just do your best on him and stop the other players from beating you.

2) Stop Williams from driving to the basket. He shoots 27% from 3 this year, but he is riding a couple of fluke games early in the season to be at 27%. He is a London Warren type shooter. He is dangerous when he drives and kicks or drives and draws fouls. When he gets into the lane, bad things happen.

If we play like we did against the Bonnies, this is a winnable game. If we play like we did against UMass, it could be ugly.

I recall seeing Chris Johnson as a young Frosh, thinking this kid needs some meat. Our guards have spent some time in the weight room. Kostas is the only skinny player we have.
Particularly Jordan Davis is D1 developed. Of course Trey too. But Crutcher has been lifting, and others as well.

Trey is just full of attitude, and it is catching on with some other players. With all the goodness he brings, there are going to be more WTF moments. There is an in-your-face beast inside of him.

But yes, technicals are not in the game plan. Just like rolling the ball to the ref before the final seconds are ticked off the game clock.

Here's what Grant likely says to him, "Son, try not to do that when it counts, oh, and great game!!"
