Another MUCH improved squad coming to the Arena on Tuesday Night... Dave Paulsen is doing a really good job in Fairfax.

Game is at 7 PM on Tuesday Night and will be shown on Spectrum Sports.

Starting Lineup:
G 4 Otis Livingston II 5’11” 168 SO Linden, New Jersey
G 22 Marquise Moore 6’2” 208 SR Queens, New York
G 3 Justin Kier 6’4” 182 FR Spotswood, Virginia
G 5 Jaire Grayer 6’4” 192 SO Flint, Michigan
F 31 Jalen Jenkins 6’7” 246 RS SR Brooklyn, New York

They are not very deep (maybe 7 deep possibly 8) but they have 4 starters averaging in double figures (Moore, Livingston, Jenkins & Grayer)... Their dynamic duo is Moore & Livingston. Moore has been a beast as a 6'2" Guard, 17.9 PPG 10.5 RPG 3.7 APG. Livingston also averages over 15 a night and is one of the best FT shooters in America at over 91%.

Good Matchup on Tuesday.

While anything less than a 2 seed would be vastly disappointing no matter the result of this game, I believe a win on Tuesday would wrap up not only one of the 4 double byes, but also the 2 seed in Pittsburgh at worst.

Yes, a win over Mason guarantees a top 2 seed. (1=54.39/2=45.61)

Someone or something flipped the switch with GMU. How else do you explain 2 losses to St Louis?

nice article glenn, I'm interested to see how Archie handles this. I haven't seen mason play a bunch, so I don't know how many ball screens they do, but I think it helps that UD will have several guys that can gaurd him out on the permiter that move their feet well and have good frames, Davis & Davis, Scooch & Cook should all be able to go under the screen and keep him from attacking the rim as much as he likes (hopefully). On the flip side, it will be interesting to see who Paulson puts him on, I would guess either Cooke or Scoochie but nobody takes a high volume of 3 pointers other than Davis, which may limit his opportunities to crash the glass and grab boards himself.

Quite honestly, I wish GMU would leave their cheerleaders at home and bring their band. If you remember them from the NCAA a number of years ago, they were hilarious.

Hopefully the way Moore crashes the boards, we can get some defensive rebounds and have our guards bust down the court.

Kendall needs to knock off the 3 point shooting with time on the shot clock. I don't think he's made one in about a month.

Who are the announcers?

He made a huge one late in the first half against URI.

Why are they leaving Joey Gruden out of the Senior Class?

Because he is a walk-on. Same as why they are leaving out Bonsu. Neither has played 4 years either.

Why are they including Cooke? He's only played 2 years.

To me the whole thing is a non-issue.

They included Bonsu. Gruden has been on the roster all 4 years.

We are only getting outrebounded by 1. 9 fast break points and 12 points off turnovers. We have one turnover and our D has created 7.

No Gruden hasn't. Wasn't on the team his freshman year. I don't think any of it matters anyway.

Kendall has given away some possesions/easy buckets on the offensive end tonight.

That is a horrible call against Kyle.

Didn't like the last couple of minutes but we are up at the half.

Yep, Kendall playing a poor game so far.

Despite a mediocre first half by Pollard, we have the lead. Pollard trying to do too much and is 2-7.

We only have 2 turnovers, and are turning them over with 8. We are getting outshot and outrebounded, so fortunate to be up.

I thought the foul call on XW on the behind block was a terrible call also.

Whoever kept asking for X to start over Mikesell, was spot on. We are a much better team defensively and probably offensively.

If we can get SS, DD and KP playing better in the 2nd half, it should be a cake walk.

No doubt, but again, without Cunningham, you can't take a chance on XW and KP both getting in early foul trouble. XW has so much confidence. I don't know what it is with his FT shooting, but he puts a lot of spring in his shot and always looks like it's going to be too hard but seems to hit them every time.

The Flyers' shot selection is very poor. No ball movement at all.

We continue to shoot poorly. We missed about 4 easy shots this half.

UD took 17 threes in the first half. They didn't seem forced to me, but that is a whole lot of 3 point attempts.

Kendall looks like he's trying to draw a foul rather than hit the shot. Not playing well tonight.

Cooke nails a 3 and then Archie takes a timeout to yell at the Flyers for not bothering to play defense.

Or rebound. We were even in rebounds in the first 16 minutes, since then, in 11 minutes we are down 8. Sam with zero in 11 minutes.

Who is Sam? Sam Miller hasn't taken his warmup off tonight.

Crosby hits a 3 and then probably goes on an ill advised drive but manages to get fouled after he gets his own rebound and attempts the putback.

Kendall needs to sit the rest of the game. He hasn't once taken it strong to the hoop when he's gotten possession under the basket.

The second team builds a great lead, and the lazy play of the first team has let Mason back in. Bench em.

He is trying to do way too much. He has lost the handle on about four occasions.

It almost felt like the starters went back in up 20 and decided this was over and tried to start padding their stats. Too quick of shots being thrown up and relaxed defensively

At 8:37 PM, we were up by 21. We're now up by 10.
