An abortion from start to finish. Didnt even compete. That was the most disappointing part. Toledo was never asked to earn it the hard way. We rolled over and took the evening off. Shauna seemed incredibly frustrated on the sideline as if the team was trying to avoid having to take a shower after the game.
The good news is it told us what we needed to know: we have issues. Not unfixable, but good teams don't take days off and plays off. You can be sloppy but play hard. Tonight we did neither.
The Flyers have 55 assists and 90 turnovers. How in the world can you possibly compete in college hoops with such calamitous ball security. That we're 4-1 in spite of this is a small miracle. But the music eventually stops unless we start cherishing possession. We are way better than what we showed tonight. But, it also showed us where our bottom is when we mail it in.
Ill throw a mindblowing stat at you: not a single player on the roster has more assists than turnovers after 5 games. None.
