Very nice article. She seems like a very grounded and delightful young woman.
JaVonna's always been one of my favorites -- she's played with heart and grit since she was a freshman and her game has consistently improved.

Her improvement last year from her sophomore year was monumental. This year she is just an absolute beast.

JaVonna is up there with the greatest UD rebounders of all-time. Not sure where her average of 12 rebounds per game ranks, but it has to be near the top. Will be hard to catch Ann Myers' 377 rebounds in a season.

12 would put Layfield #4 for most rebounds per game for a season behind Ann Meyers (13.0 in 76-77), Joy Barnett (12.5 in 75-76) and Donna Burks (12.4 in 82-83).
