BEVERLY HILLS (MI) -- I find it hard to believe that it has only been seven days since The University of Dayton Men’s Basketball team was ousted from The NCAA Tournament by the Syracuse Orange. Time crawls when you are not having fun, I guess. Kinda hard to get excited about the teams that are still alive in the Big Dance when the Flyer squad that showed so much promise fell short in its pursuit. The good news is that almost immediately after the season’s end, UD AD Neil Sullivan “upgraded” Archie’s deal to take it to the year 2023. Keeps the wolves away from the door and also silences the negative recruiting tactic of other programs claiming that Archie will gone from UD any day now.
October cannot get here soon enuf.
Let’s hit the links, shall we?
-- Speaking of Neil Sullivan, here is an interview with him courtesy of Sports Business Daily:
-- So this is where I was going to include a link to the Forbes magazine article that has UD ranked #17 in terms of most valuable basketball programs. Instead I got this message:
“We noticed you still have ad blocker enabled. By turning it off or whitelisting Forbes.com, you can continue to our site and receive the Forbes ad-light experience.”
How about no? If it’s so “ad-light” why should I turn off Ad Blocker? Especially when Ad Blocker says that it blocked 13 pop-ups from Forbes.com!
-- Oliver Purnell is the GOAT when it comes to leaving a college hoops program at exactly the right time, according to Gary Parrish at CBS Sports:
No contract is going to keep the "wolves" away from pursuing Archie.

How does Jablonski NOT include the Sibert 3 against UPFW in his first ever game as a Flyer. If Flyers don't get the steal and/or Sibert doesn't make the shot, does any of the rest occur? Doubt make tourney with a loss to IPFW, so no Elite 8 run. Possibly most important game and shot of last 3 seasons as much after doesn't occur otherwise
