BEVERLY HILLS (MI) – Yes, Flyer Faithful that is
not a misprint on the UD schedule --the Alabama game really is slated for 1:00 pm on Tuesday afternoon! The Flyers and Tide are part of this year’s ESPN's Tip-Off Marathon. It could be a lot worse – at least Dayton and Alabama didn’t get the 6:00 am tipoff like Green Bay and East Tennessee State did!
I have to admit it will be more than a little strange to look over at the Bama bench and not see the familiar visage of former Flyer legend Anthony Grant patrolling the sidelines in his crisp white shirt. Let’s face it, the Tide wouldn’t have given the Flyers the time of day over the last few years if AG wasn’t there. This game however is actually an adjunct to the Advocare Classic in Orlando that will be played over the Thanksgiving weekend.
So what do we know about the Crimson Tide? Not a whole lot since like the Flyers they have only played and won a single contest. Take a look at the boxscore from their opener with Kennesaw State and tell me what you see?

What I noticed is that KSU outrebounded the Tide, 39-38; that Owls guard Yonel Brown lit up Bama for 34 points and that UA only hit 55.6% of their FTs.
