Saw the DMO Europe thread and remembered that I went to see Dyshawn Pierre play on Sunday against Frankfurt. He is in the top German league, although his team is a disaster. I talked to him for a few minutes after the game and we should ALL be proud at how well Dyshawn represents the University as well as the basketball program. He is extremely polite and well-spoken and his eyes lit up when he talked about his time at UD.

FWIW, I thanked him for handling the suspension like a man and he talked about how much support Archie provided (like a father). He absolutely loves Archie and said that if UD can win one game in the NCAAT to gain confidence, WATCH OUT! Hope he is right.

Finally, I told him that if he signs with Frankfurt next year, we will be happy to take him in (holidays; weekends; or even to live with us).

If Dashawn doesn't work out as a house guest, I'm available. :) a year overseas is just what I need.

Nothng but positives from this cat. Loved Pierre. Glad he still spoke glowingly of the school and Arch. That railroad job still disgusts me.

Dyshawn's team played Vee's team on Sunday. Vee's team won by 1, but Dyshawn scored 23 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists.

Oh, watching him spin the lane for that jump hook...that is always fun to watch!!!

Pierre was a great zone buster. We miss his ability to take the pass at the foul line and pass quickly. Wish Cunningham would watch the way he posted up high and low.

Its too bad that league hasn't figured out how to integrate corporate sponsorship into the game...

Will always be one of my all time favorites. The most versatile player I've seen play for the Flyers. And cool as a cucumber at the FT line. Vee made the game winner but without his 3 FTs to give us a one point lead prior, we would've been one and done.
