Kyle Davis signs with RGV Vipers
Looks like another Dayton Flyer in the G League. Couldn’t be more deserving. Hope it lasts

I don’t see Kyle at all in the box score for RGV, but Chris Wright is playing for OKC in GLeague

Kyle got cut which isn't that surprising. You have to be a scorer to succeed at the next level. KD just isn't that guy. Hopefully UD alums who own businesses reach out to him and get him set up with a great job situation where he is set for life. He deserves it.
I'm still sad that CW has chosen to play in the G/D-League instead of overseas where he could make more money. Hopefully his donut shop on Brown St. is successful.

I think someone thumped on this theme before. Why would we be sad when a player chooses not to chase more money, and little else? If CW has a good agent he may have connections in the NBA that bear fruit. "Overseas" is not the same pot of gold for everyone. Language barriers and living conditions vary a lot. Some clubs offer little support for development. Then there are teams that have 12 out of 13 players who are nationals, and CW could be the outlier. Coaches have their biases. So many other factors that would make the size of the paycheck way down on the bucket list.

There is one young man who poured his guts out every time he put on the Flyer uniform. He was an inspiration not only to other players on the team, but to the entire Flyer community. He demonstrated what hard work can do to elevate one's game and one's life.

Would love to see him on our sidelines as a GA assistant, mentoring players.

That is Beth Flach who is the academic advisor for the team. She has been with the team since she was hired by Brian Gregory. I have noticed that often when players return to visit, she is in their pictures.

I definitely know that name. i have heard nothing but high praise about her. Whatever kind of money she makes isn't enough. This is the kind of contributor to a program that gets zero glory.

Beth is an amazing woman. Her job is academic advisor, but she is often a life coach for the players. Hiring her was BGs greatest accomplishment at UD.
