I will not be surprised if James Whitford ends up being an up-and-comer hc.

Ball State won the MAC-West for the last 2 years. Just don't overlook them. A lot of these MAC teams are not too bad.

You have to come ready to play every night. Given all the question marks we have, we better not overlook anyone.

This is simply poor scheduling. UD players should be able to stumble out of Tim's the night before the first home game and win by 20!!!!! ;)

In my mind, the attitude for this season should be similar to season where we lost "dumb and dumber". No superstars, it's us against the world, let's close ranks and rely on each other and work for each other, no matter what.
- Besides, the fans will be distracted by the new scoreboard, seats, and cup holders anyway. :cool:

Seriously??? Ball State is bad scheduling?

How many posts have I read over the last 4-5 years complaining about our OOC schedule not having quality teams lined up? Athletics apparently took note of that and scheduled a solid first opponent. And now we have fans complaining it's bad scheduling. Not to mention everyone knew all the changes since the last game last year were going to play out exactly like they did. Surely UD Athletics had to know what was coming.

Well, screw it, I am going to complain about this.

You know me, I have never been afraid to complain about the schedule.

I like the Ball State game being on the schedule: they are a good, tough MAC team with a good hc.

But, why couldn't we have opened with Tennessee Tech or Wagner or Penn?

We have a new coach with a new system, and we have some injuries and suspensions, let everybody get their feet wet and build up some confidence before throwing them into the fire.

Please consider that this team knows each other very well and the starting line-up are not in their first rodeo. You folks are all making it sound like this team has never played together? Cunningham, X. Williams, Crosby and D. Davis know each other very well. Kostas practiced with this team all year long. Coming off the bench is Svoboda who is older and more mature than anyone else on the team and is accustom to playing against older guys. He has lots of European experience. This team already has a imprint.

No TV for this one? It doesn't look like the SpecSports schedule is out yet, so may be they're picking it up? Also since both the MAC and A10 have agreements with ESPN, I wonder if this will ultimately end up on Watch ESPN?

It looks like Spectrum mid Ohio is showing a High school football game live on Friday night. I do see a replay of our game on Saturday morning though. Am I reading this correctly?

Based upon the box score of Ball State's exhibition game, Ball State seemed to have balanced scoring with quite a few guys with 8 or more points.
