While I appreciate our desire to be efficient, do we have to constantly add to ancient threads? For example, If we want to talk about the Flyers going to see Kostas play while in DC, can't that be it's own thread?

The top thread today has 900 replies and started two years ago. I didn't even click it. I don't know what's new and don't feel like clicking to the end and then trying to scroll back to the new content.

Electrons are cheap. Do you think we could retire threads after a time?

If that's how the kids are doing it these days, that's fine. I just find myself not participating.

Is this just me? Am I getting old? I just thought I'd mention it because this site was a daily visit for me a decade ago. Now it's weekly at best.

Length of threads isn't aproblem if you hit "view first unread" takes you to the first post you haven't read. Easey Peasey

Yeah, the downward-facing arrow in the box next to the thread title is a shortcut to "view first unread post."

Personally, I'd rather people add to existing threads on the same subject rather than start a new one for whatever mental diarrhea they think the world needs to know about. But it's not my site so my vote means nothing.

Also FYI, the rightward-facing arrow in the box next to the last poster's name will take you to the last post in the thread.

Not necessarily. If you are like me and regularly cleanup my website history and cookies, you start at the beginning. dUDe is right, it is painful and I do the same thing, i.e. sometimes don't read them.

Also, the new messages usually are not consistent with the heading. The one on Kostas was titled "Source: K. Antetokounmpo to test draft waters"? The only thing in common is his name.

Heaven forbid that someone posts or starts a subject that has been covered before.
I constantly retell the same stories and re-ask the same questions over and over and it doesn't bother me!

Personally, I'd like the heading to change when the subject matter changes...within reason.
