Battle 4 Atlantis 2018

Wow, a really tough field. That might be the top 2018 exempt tournament field.

on paper, that's probably the strongest field UD has faced since the Mauii tournament when they faced UConn, Arizona (#2), and Maryland
|
Doubt we will be the number one seed. May well be 7th. If we want to move up we have to play up.

This tournament is next year, not this year! That is a long way off. Wisconsin, Florida, Virginia, Butler, Stanford, Middle Tennessee, Oklahoma and Dayton in the Bahamas. There i list the teams for those of you having trouble getting to the Rothstein Fan Rag article.

IMHO this is the best exempt tournament out there now. They attract a great field every year. For east coast teams it's much easier travel than the Maui invitational for both the fans and teams. The ballroom gym always looks great on TV and they light the place up like its a vegas show during timeouts.

This may be the most stacked tournament field I have ever seen, period.

Maybe a good time to showcase to potential 2018 recruits who they will be playing against in a tournament atmosphere!

Reminds me of 2000 Maui, where we won 2 of 3. I'd take that.

You haven't seen the Phil Knight invitational this fall then.

Wasn't counting that because it is not a traditional 8 team tournament.

Awesome field. I wish just once the Flyers would play in one of the few remaining tourneys closer to Christmas, as no way the wife can take off work ever in November. Maybe I should just ask her if I can take a date

I called Pro Source ticket office today asking for any details about the tourney.
They had none to offer ... no surprise ... since the tourney website today is selling tickets and rooms for this Thanksgiving tourney.
They said UD plans to use Anthony Travel ... the same ESPN travel agent as the past ... and ticket holders will be sent hotel/ticket info in 2018 in the summer time range.
Does Ideal Travel plan to be offering packages? When will they be available to the public?

Great field. Assuming this island still exists after Hurricane Irma, I'd like to attend this tournament.

Yes, God willing.
Got to get past Charleston first before shifting focus.

Looking at the bracket:
https://www.atlantisbahamas.com/b4a
I'm trying to figure out the seeding (unless they didn't bother seeding).
UVA has to be #1, which makes MTSU #8. If they followed normal seeding then we are likely the #5.
My best guess is:
1. Virginia
2. Florida
3. Wisconsin
4. Butler
5. Dayton
6. Stanford
7. Oklahoma
8. MTSU

Price will vary depending on how many nights you choose to stay in the Bahamas. 4-night hotel and game ticket packages starting at $1000 per person. Contact us for a quote based on your specific length of stay.
This rate includes all taxes, resort fee, energy surcharge, pool/beach surcharge, and housekeeping gratuity.
Additional perks of Comfort Suites Paradise Island include:
COMPLIMENTARY Full Buffet Breakfast
