Ball State is pretty good - we usually don't open at home with someone of this caliber. When was the last time we didn't play a bad team to pad our home opener streak?

These guys will be a tough out. Archie better have our guys ready to play.

I agree this is an unusual home opener. Our normal openers have been with teams like Austin Peay, Mount St. Mary's, Alabama A&M, IPFW, Western Illinois, Wofford, Arkansas State, Southeast Missouri State, East Tennessee State, and Tennessee Tech. The last "good" team we played in an opener was probably Creighton in 09-10. I'm surprised they scheduled such a good team for the opener after losing 4 seniors and our coach. Must have been all they could get for that date. I don't think we will lose, but I would not be shocked if that happened. We've had some pretty close calls even with the "scrubs."

I remember opening with Creighton a few or 10 years ago.
