There is a lot going on with Kostas. His attitude has eclipsed his floor skills at the D1 level. He excelled, according to player reports, in practice when he was healthy. Problem is he excelled against players that we know now can't play defense very well.

IMO he will be a very good player, but it may not be at Dayton. There is time this season for him to break out, but not enough time for him to bulk up and learn up. When he does break out there will be voices telling him to take an NBA-G League gig. I don't expect Kostas to be at UD for his Junior year. IF he is toiling on the bench next year, the voices will be saying his development is retarded at UD. If he excels the voices will say he is ready for the next step.
Our only chance with him is to put together an NCAA contender next season (define that any way you choose). with Kostas as a corner stone next to Josh, assuming Josh decides to stay. It could happen.

Team/player development is going to be crucial the next 15 months. The pieces are there. Josh, Kostas, Jordan Davis, Cohill, Xeyrius, Crutcher, Landers, Toppin, Crosby and other pieces TBD. But come January, 2019, and we are still where we are now, this MB will be in flame-out.
