Not sure what you are basing that on...if you watch him play, he doesn't care if he's "the man" or not. Late in the game he wanted the ball (as good players should), but throughout the game he is just as interested in getting teammates involved as he was scoring.
In addition to his 22.8 ppg he also averaged 7.4 assists and 8 rebounds. He is a hard working blue collar player who just wants to win. Backing out of his NLI after Archie left does not make him an ego driven player that needs to be "the man".
