For those who would still ask “So...what is the policy?” the A10 agreed in May 2016 to rescind the more restrictive two-year transfer rule and align with the NCAA policy (currently one year but subject to removal in a vote later this spring).

It says, "related to Oympic sport transfers". I guess basketball is an Olympic sport.
