IMO he is a significant asset to the team. I don't want to go into my opinion because it could create further bashing.
Give the guy a break! Let's not pile on, he is paying handsomely for his stupid actions both now and in the near future.

I don't presume to speak for all UD Fans. However, the board seems to be leaning toward not being in his corner as far as returning. I personally wouldn't be completely against him being in uniform after a year off if AG determines that is what he wants. I'm not in the locker room. If Sam is a great teammate then I'm all in on keeping him.
However however... I would rather replace him with a player with more upside. Whereas I don't want us to become a program that kicks kids to the curb every year, he put himself in this position. He embarrassed himself and the University. The reality of it is your standing with the team (or your company for those of us that have already graduated) has an impact on how much leash you get. Whether he comes back or not, I hope he gets his act together. And if I'm perceived as a bad person for being ok with recruiting over a kid on suspension, I'm ok with the perception.
