What Archie accomplished at UD is nothing short of remarkable. First, there was the elite 8 run after starting the conference season 1-5. Then there was the year that two numbskulls got kicked off the team and he took a team of six guys with no one over 6'6" to the tourney and won two ncaa games. Then for an encore he overcame the Dyshawn Pierre suspension and made the tourney again. Then making the tournament again after a heartbreaking death of a 7' center, overcoming at least a six game absence of pollard and a near season-ending injury of our only other low post threat. The guy worked miracles and should garner our respect.
There is no shame in losing our coach to Indiana. And we shouldn't pretend that none of us would do the same. He didn't go to school at UD, he didn't grow up in Dayton or even in Ohio. He had no reason to value UD over a school with a much larger stature. The guy has a job to do and a goal he wants to reach. Don't hold it against him when 99% of the people on here would do the same damm thing.
