I have no idea as to any past connection, but the fact that Flint replaced Calipiari at UMass, then moved on to Drexel (for 15 seasons, since fired) after losing the UMass job -- they (Archie and Bruiser) wouldn't have been on the same staff anywhere. That, and I always thought of Flint to be a bit of a loose cannon.

Coaches network just like the rest of us. They meet while out recruiting, going to events, going to awards, going to their conference during the Final Four. And occasionally coaches will hire coaches they have never worked with before.
