UD was his first hc job. He goes from being a relative unknown to a total star in only about 3 or 4 years, his first 2 years at UD were not really bigtime-star-quality. Years 3 to 6 set him apart. That sort of ascent to fame can be really tough to handle, and it is a lot to take in.

While he may have felt that way at the time, his contract was not structured that way, and that is the important thing. I have no problem with AM taking the IU job. It was one of the few schools that were listed in his contract that he would leave for. It opened up and he left, Had IU not lost a key player to injury, TC would probably still be at IU and AM at UD. Things didn't work out that way and life goes on. We landed on our feet.
