This thought just occurred to me: if KA doesn’t value a college education, to the point that he dropped out before the semester was over, it’s now easy to see why he had problems qualifying academically coming out of high school. He may well have not seen the value in a high school education, either.
And while he may be able to succeed just fine playing overseas without an education, I’m reminded of 2 sayings from my youth:
