Apart from 1 Rick Majerus year and two Jim Crews years, they haven't exactly lit the A10 on fire. What makes them so special?

Not sure if this is special but Nielsen ratings has
St Louis as a metro ranking of 22 (2.319 million population) compared to Dayton at 64 (0.836 million population). Marketing dollars go a long way when determining what is special or not. The numbers I reviewed were from a 2013 study. For a little perspective the top 25 markets had a population of just over 109 million. The next 25 markets (26-50) had a population of just over 34 million.
