Per Steve81 on the A10 board:

Expecting us to move up from the lower to the middle tier, capable of beating any team in the league. We already have some very good young players and now a new group of five players. I hope Daryl Traynham can be a great PG and has a good freshman year. Javorn Farrell proved to be the most effective on both ends of the court with excellent Basketball IQ and leaving it all on the court. Javorn will probably see some time at the PG spot with Gary Correia a solid backup point guard and our new freshman. The shoot guard spot we have Anthony Gurley who needs to play every night like he did in Atlantic City. He has been criticized at times for poor shot selection and defense. Jesse Morgan becomes eligible around Christmas time and should challenge for minutes. Freedie Riley is a streaky shooter during his freshman year and his defense improved but has a long way to go. I’m hoping Freddie continues to improve. Terrell Vinson is a small PF with lots of talent and hoping he shines next year. We have lots of forwards. Sampson Carter had a good freshman year and hope like Terrell gets bigger and stronger for next year. Matt Hill was a surprise in that he played limited minutes and did OK but expect his limited minutes to shrink. New players Maxie, David and Raphael will be challenging for minutes and like David Laury size. I heard hints that Raphael can be a little like Marcus Camby. That he is thin, agile and can shoot all the way out to the three point line. Our big man Sean Carter runs the court well and will be very good next year improving his scoring and rebounding. I love Big City Bailey, but see him in a limited role with all the new talent.

OK here is the biggest question mark, will the coaching staff be able to decide and communicate the players roles. It took way too long, the last three weeks of the season to settle down on a consistent player rotation.

We lose Ricky Harris and walk on Lex Mongo.

New Players for next year.

Daryl Traynham could be the answer to a solid PG at 5’ 9” and 160 lbs.

Jesse Morgan is a highly rated SG at 6’ 5” and 175 lbs.

Now a Trio of Forwards: Raphael Putney red shirted this year is a PF at 6’ 9” and 180 lbs.

Maxie Esho is graded fairly high and is a PF at 6’ 7” and 195 lbs.

David Laury has reportedly given a verbal yesterday and had originally committed to WKY and then IONA. He is a PF at 6’ 8” and 220lbs. He is rated a little lower and is a bit older and ready to play.
