They were unhappy with the direction of the conference whereas if we joined it'd be because we wanted to be a part of it. Their interests are different but that wouldn't preclude a mutually beneficial relationship. We've got one one FBS school in UMass & has Temple & the A10 found a way to make those relationships work. If UMass leaves for a football league, VCU joins this league or the BE expands again & we get left out the University needs to be proactive so the Flyers aren't stuck in a situation like Wichita Posted via Mobile Device

A single FB school in a BB conference like the UMass and Temple examples worked. But a conference with roughly equal number of FB and BB-only schools is what did not work for the old BE. That lesson has been learned.
