At the time, Dukes were looking for a coach to take them to that elusive "next level." Perhaps they should have been more patient. Progress is rarely linear. But there were some valid reasons to get rid of Everhart at the time.

I do not disagree with any of this. But at the same time, above .500 record 4 of 6 years and only below .500 once. They also finished 4th and 5th in the league 2 of those years. I understand that they were looking to get to the next level, but they were not nearly as bad as they have been with him gone. I think today they would take 10th, 9th, 5th, 8th, 4th, and 9th in the A10 standings.
