In the A10 you can't have too many guards. And with a very narrow market for bigs, extra wings are a blessing. Our style is to have 5 guys who can run the floor, make the extra pass, and finish. So my leanings would be if you are a competitor, you don't shy away from another pg or wing that is about to be signed up. You relish the competition, and the added team strength as well.
I doubt John Crosby has even a hint of concern about Wright being recruited. John is going to show tremendous improvement this season and his attitude will be ---bring it on, and not where could I transfer to. And John is a big tough dude. McKinley and Crosby will make each other better.
We are not operating in the same arena as Kentucky who has their choice of a number of 4 and 5 star one-n-done pg's, wings, 5's.
Spirited competition is the life blood of a really good team. If that bothers a recruit, let him go somewhere else. (This is the part that Staten never could deal with at UD--he wanted to be assured of the position).
