Before UMass:
4-star recruit via ESPN … No. 7 in Illinois, No. 22 PG and No. 23 in Midwest region (ESPN) … 3-star recruit according to 247Sports and Rivals … No. 12 in Illinois and No. 45 at point guard (247Sports) … Played AAU for Mac Irvin Fire … Chose UMass over Bradley, DePaul,
La Salle, Northern Illinois and Valparaiso, among others.
So, ESPN had him as a 4 star, others a 3 star. No one had Crutcher as a 4 star, and he's only 15 games into his freshman year. Also, they may be totally different types of players, so I'm not sure a direct comparison is appropriate, especially at this time in the careers.
