It was going to take an exceptional, if not perfect, UD game or a bad Florida game. Neither happened.
I am ok with it. Not the least bit embarrassed at result. And definitely not the effort. Could have folded the tents and did not. Get a couple late ****s to fall and who knows.

You're right. I take it back. They did play well. They played hard, ran the sets and got the open looks. The defense was as good as it could be against the #1 team in the nation. That does add up to a good game.
But they missed more open shots than they should have and didn't keep Florida off the offensive glass. Those two things would have sunk Dayton against most of the A10, not just the #1 team in the nation. Can't do much about the shots not falling. That's just probability playing itself out. And giving up the offensive rebounds... if that was the only thing to complain about in this game then it really was a great effort overall. Just disappointed it wasn't our 'best' shot because we had a chance right to the end.
Still proud of this team.
