2020 6’3 PG Eric Gaines of Lithonia HS (Ga.) has reopened his recruitment and will sign in the spring. Some of the newer schools he’s been hearing from is TCU New Mexico St., Nebraska & DePaul

I find this a bit confusing. He’d taken an official visit to Dayton, I thought, but no comment from him or anyone. Did he renege on a commitment elsewhere? Or by reopening his recruitment, does that just mean he’s thrown out the net hoping to snag more suitors? Clearly seems as if he’s moved on or we moved on ... or both.
