I agree with you that one game should not make a season. But try losing to the same team 3 times in one season and falling a win short of dancing and see how that works out for you. Other losses have hurt us but one can't also deny that Xavier alone has stood in our way the last two years when we were on the bubble.

I agree, but how many times did we beat
Xavier in 02-03 when we finished the regular season ranked 16th in the country and got a 4 seed in the dance? The answer would be zero. Some years it has hurt losing to them, but the point is we don't HAVE to beat them to reach our goals. We beat them in 04-05 and 05-06 and it didn't get us anywhere. Of course, I would LOVE to kick their a$$ every time we see them.
