Perhaps the DDN article goes a long way to explain why Trey got so little playing time. After months of speculation about his abilities, his relationship to the coach or coaches his ability to learn how to play at the collegiate level, the number of upperclassmen and so on and so forth, we learn that he has spent the season with a nagging sports injury that has limited him and his playing time.

It seems to me that given those nagging injuries (sports hernia, etc.), he should have been red-shirted.
