It's not like it needs to have some huge capacity that would take up anything more than part of that parking lot near Baujan. I realize that would mean field turf which isn't ideal for the soccer teams though.

Not ideal would be an understatement. It would effectively end those programs. I believe something like 23 of the 25 teams in the last Top-25 ranking play on natural grass. Nobody plays on fieldturf for soccer other than programs that view it as a throwaway sport. And UD identified soccer (and vball) as Tier-1 sports funded and run as nationally competitive since the days of
Ted Kissell.
Sharing a facility is just not an option. They just installed a brand new natural grass system at Baujan a cpl years ago anyway.
