I agree with this writer. Not that Obi isn’t really good, but his game does not fit Cleveland’s needs.
I know an NFL tight end that was struck on a team early in his career that ran an offense that only wanted the tight end to block. His skills were as a pass-catching TE. This was in the late 80s, early 90s when players did not have any rights to change teams.
Finally Plan B arrived and he was left unprotected. End up in the right type of offense for his skills. Was All-pro multiple years and has three Super Bowl rings.
I hope Obi gets drafted by a team that needs his skill-sets. I don’t think Cleveland is that team.
