Her game sort of reminds me of the guards
Fordham and
SJU have hurt us with in past seasons. She has a nice lean-in mid-range jumpshot. I dont think she'll be able to get that same shot off as easily in the A10, but she doesnt need to yet. Sees the floor very well and passes well. I also like her size at 5-11 as a shooting guard or lead guard.
The transition challenge will be going from HS to college. Ive watched many highlight clips and oftentimes she's the tallest player on the court and lots of totem pole/ball watchers. Getting her shot is pretty easy and there is not much defensive resistance to force her to do something other than just shoot over the defender.
Hoover played at an even smaller level however. If you can play you can play. She seems really tough and feisty. Thats what served Hoover early on -- felt like she had something to prove to zip people up.
Skeens' form on her J will make Shauna happy. She has gotten it to the muscle memory stage and not the "chuck it" stage. LC24 will like playing with her. Make it rain.
