There are certainly more talented starting backcourts than Jenna from Coooooville and LC24. And shots you can get in the A10 are not necessarily shots you can get in the SEC.

Still, on just pure shooting, UD has a pair of shooters that few can match if you give them a clean open look. LC24 has been on a tear, throwing in 5-7-10 long balls in different games. Jennas % is slightly better and she's picking her spots. You cant cheat off of either one and that's a luxury most teams do not have.

Scaife is making enough from deep to keep teams honest too. Her shot is so flat though it does scare me at times. LC24 is looking for her shot almost every trip down the floor. Shes been in a grip-it-and-rip-it groove for about 6 weeks.

Defense was very good today. Once again LC24 and Burdette and the other guards hedged very well over high ball screens. Outrebounded Fordham which most teams cant do. Rams never really went on a big run vs the Flyers. Their best moment was when we hit a turnover/sloppy play sequence midway through the 3rd quarter. Rams cut it to 13 right before the half after UD stretched lead to 20. Just 13 points is still within reach with 10 minutes left.

But Burdette does a quick catch and shoot from the top of the key, and then buries a fadeaway 15fter on the next trip to make it an 18pt lead heading into the 4th. To me this was the winning moment in the game when the nail was put in the coffin. Two very high degree of difficulty shots.

The difference between up 13 and up 18 is more than 5pts. It feels like double that -- especially when and how it happened.
