I grew up on Long Island and back in the mid 60's delivered Newsday to Sonny Franzese's house. The paper cost $.30 a week, no Sunday edition. If the wife was there she would give me $.50 and say "keep the change", if Sonny answered the door it was $1.00. Even at 12 years old I knew HOT and hoped Mrs Franzese answered the door.

Twenty five years later a friend of mine is marrying Mary Gambino, Carlo's grand daughter, Tommy Gambino's (garment area trucking) daughter. Wedding at the Pierre in NYC. In attendance was Roy Cohen, Big Paul Castalano, John Gotti, Sammy the Bull etc. I'm sitting with my new wife and friends of the groom and who comes up to me but Sonny Franzese and his wife and said "weren't you our paper boy?".

Small world but I would hate to paint it.

Let's just say the years were kind to her.

An additional note my late dad, a NYC banker, said don't let them take your picture as your taxes will be audited. There was a van in front of the hotel taking pictures of all attendees. Still friends with my buddy and Mary. Father still alive, did 3/4 years in the Fed 10 years ago.
