Schedule Talk
I thought Sully and the Barstool guy were pretty off-base about the schedule. Basically said it was awful.
Yea we have a ton of buy games, are there many "major" programs that don't?
SMU, Ole Miss, Va Tech and Miami is a very solid foundation (keep in mind two of those are true road games and 4/5 are away from UD Arena). Other than maybe North Texas, I don't believe we will play a team outside the top-100 in the other two games of the holiday tournament. So, worst case scenario Miami, North Texas, and let's say...Iona?

The schedule is when youreally dig in and and study is very very tough, especially as our group learns to play together. Lipscomb is picked to win there division and has been in NCAA recently. Orlando is loaded. Miami has one of the highest rated backcourts in the ACC and with a win would bring us Kansas the number 3 team in the country in most of the rags. I would argue that with conference realignment back in action that the a Win against Miami and an upset of Kansas would be a game changer for our program and add to our Big East resume. SMU brings back there best player and is a tough road game and Folks VavTech is picked in upper half of ACC. Miss also is much improved. The ATen with Bonnie and Richmond offer two teams that are getting a lot of national attention. It’s a very strong schedule with several opportunities.

I listened to it. My takeaway was that an early loss (specifically in the Orlando tournament) would be hard to overcome as part of their overall schedule.
To me, this schedule is perfect for a young team that will need to learn how to play together.

This a concern every year. And every year the non-con SOS is ranked highly despite this concern. I think this tournament is so good it won't matter who we play they will all end up improving our schedule.
I completely agree with your second sentence.

Best of his NBA career so far. Late in the fourth quarter, 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting, with 5 rebounds. Mega minutes ... WITH Randle on the court.

It’s great to see Obi playing well and getting minutes. I can do without ESPN’s nonstop love affair with the clown known as Spike Lee.

Clown is putting it lightly. I understand showing the various celebrities that are attending that specific game, but constantly having to watch this idiot throughout the whole game is very frustrating.
If you want to enjoy some hard Spike Lee cringe, check out his vaccination commercial where he pretends to give rides to senior citizens (as if not having a ride is the reason someone isn't getting the poke), while wearing two masks OUTSIDE.

I highly recommend listening to the Brooks Hall interview. Brooks has been to multiple practices and in the interview he gives a number of "behind the scene" observations regarding players and the team dynamic. I was surprised at some things he said regarding expected starters and playing time. It's well worth a listen.

Did I hear that right? Brooks said Koby Brea is the best UD basketball "shooter"? This is because of his stats? High School?

He sees him in practice. Also Brea won the 3pt contest at the NIL. The kid can shoot the ball. With that said we have several guys who can light it up from deep this year.

Best three ball shooter percentage wise, Brooks says Koby and Elvis are their only pure shooters. I think Amzil is pretty close. Brooks sees Koby as an impact player next year.
