Columbus Fish Wrap

WOW …. I have lived in the Columbus area for 25 years now and have NEVER seen the word “DAYTON” on the front page of the sports section of the Columbus fish wrap….. until today! If you did see the word “Dayton”, it was because the Buckeyes were playing down there….. As far as UD basketball scores, we are lucky to see the score listed after the Hiram verse Ohio Northern game. But today:

“Dayton Basketball: It really is a big deal"

Starts with a quarter page picture of Donnie May shooting over Lew Alcindor…. And goes on about our program. A couple nice pictures of Rossie too. Not really an article about the OSU either… but it certainly would not be there were it not for us playing them on Thursday:

Columbus sports writers have been on old rat face a bit about playing in state teams. They have touted playing UD since the NIT game at Value City Arena a few years ago….

That little mini paper can't even be used to wrap fish anymore. Same with Cincy.
