UDPride 07-08 Attendance
I know that we have UD fans from all over the country on this website, but I wanted to get an idea of how many games everyone attended last season.
It's June 30th and the Reds are in last place. Therefore I decided to start a random thread. Enjoy!

Since I started this thread I will go first. I attended 23 games during the 07-08 season. I went to all 17 regular season home games, @Miami, @Louisville, @ Xavier, @ Richmond and the NIT games against Cleveland St and Ohio St.

We split a season package and attended 3 games we didnt have tickets for and went to Columbus. I think that makes 15 games.

My parents have two season tickets, so I only get to go when one of them can't go. I believe I went to about 6-8 games last year. I'd like to go to more, but again, they are my parents' tickets and they have the first say!
I hope to one day have season tickets of my own!

I think I missed 3 home games, but I attended the Columbus NIT game. So, that puts me at 15 games.

Our attendance
I attended 15 home games(my husband went to 16), 4 regular season away games(Miami, Louisville, St. Louis and X), two NIT games (home and Ohio St.) and the A-10 tourney. That makes 23 for me, 24 for the hubby, and the kids went to 18( 15 home games,Miami and both NIT games). The kids and I missed the Coppin St. game because my daughter was in a wedding, and we all missed the Temple home game because of a death in the family. Clearly major family events are the only things that stop us from getting to our Flyers!

down year
I had a down year this past season.
Missed 2 home games (ETSU, SMU).
Missed the A10 Tournament.
Travelled to SLU, X, GW, and Fordham
All NIT games
I think that's 24 including exhibition games.

Living in NJ makes it difficult, but I attended the Geo. Mason game in Virginia and the Fordham game in the city. Brought my 22 year old daughter and her boyfriend to the Fordham game. We attended with my UD room mate of many years ago and were all "Flyered UP". I also attended the A-10 tournament in AC.

Sadly, I attended no games in person this past season. The couple times I made it back to Dayton in the past year were not during basketball season.
I did organize a game watch for all of the games televised down here, if that gets me any brownie points.

Last year was the first time in many years that I didn't get to a single basketball game. Getting a little old, I guess. My wife and I did make it to the San Diego football game and it was a great one. And I did get to see the Red and Blue game, although it was a bit of a letdown with Devin and Chris sitting on the bench due to injury.

We made about half of the home games. Missed some games due to the birth of our daughter in December. No road games.
We live in Columbus and usually make about 90% of the home games.
Go UD!

I only made it to 15 games this year, but watched or listened to every one I was not at with the exception of the Fordham game.

In the DC area -- saw the disaster at Richmond (although the pre-game party made it worth the trip) and George Mason in Fairfax VA where I walked out of the building thinking that we were in trouble -- turns out I just saw them on a bad night where only Roberts could hit, we missed easy shot after easy shot, and Jim L. outcoached our guy.
Fortunately, I was away the weekend we lost to GW here. That would have been too much for me to take.
Are we ever, ever going to hear the end of Swamp's attendance at the Pitt game! Swampster, mini-reunion of a few VUDers (Wendell) at Ann's 35th a few weeks back.

I live in the Columbus area. Made it to all but one ( Temple) home conference game. +Pitt! and a couple of the other non-conf home games. Of course I made it to the Schott for OSU NIT game.

Nothing beats going to games at the Arena, but road trip are a lot of fun too (as long as you win). My dad and I try to hit as many road games a year as we can and we are always much louder on the road. It is great to connect with other Flyer Fanatics who are also in enemy territory. On the flip side it really sucks to get heckled when we lose. I have gone to the game at X almost every year for the last 12 or 13 years. It is the worst two hours of the season every year. But when we finally win, it is going to be one helluva party! Hopefully 09 is the year!

Moville:
To answer your question, no, you're never gonna hear the end of it.
So there!
On the bright side, I just started a new sales gig that has me covering southern Ohio and Pittsburgh again, so I see more Flyer games in my immediate future.

Unfortunately, i only got to see one game in person this year. The XU game. And the bummer of it was that the night before i left to fly out to dayton, we lost to lasalle in that hideous overtime game. The most meaningful game of the year had just had the life sucked out of it. If we had beaten lasalle, i'm not so certain that we couldn't have mustered the will to beat XU after that. But i think the lasalle game was such a blow to our hopes that i think even we fans had trouble getting truly 'up' for the XU game. We gave a good effort but came up short. It was great to see UD again though, and i'm coming in for the two chicago games this next season.

Oh PLEASE don't ever mention the LaSalle game again! I get violently ill just thinking about it. We had that game won not once, but twice and lost because of our inability to hit freebies. BRob included.

Sorry bill. I still remembered sitting at my computer listening to the game over the internet. Up by five in OT, when my coworker said "Oh, it's over right? They're gonna win." Jinx of the century.
I was so excited to head into dayton with that lasalle win, and all the post-season potential in the world going into the x game. I was like a kid on christmas morning waiting for the presents to be opened. And then we went to the foul line....
Ugh.
I AM excited for this year's thanksgiving games though. My in-laws live in the boonies of the chicago suburbs and luckily, it's not too far of a drive to see our flyers.

I was swamped with work most of the season and only made it to 8.
I'm with a much better company now, so this year I will be at all the home games, and hopefully Chicago.
