Was Archie in on Damon Goodwins son before he left?! Man, if Dane is half the shooter
Damon was, we missed out. Along with Norm Grevy, Ray Springer and Bill Uhl, Damon was one of my all time favorite flyers. What a shoot. Ohh baby

Not that it means a whole lot, but Athlon magazine has Dane Goodwin ranked 85th in the country, and Dwayne Cohill 83rd.

Dane actually committed to OSU and then decommitted in June citing Matta's firing as the reason. He committed to ND the following month. Interestingly, the Goodwins are my son's neighbors in Columbus. Dane was never seriously considering Dayton even though Dad would have loved to see him play here.

Archie never pursued Dane. Dane was offered late summer between his 8th grad and Freshman year by OSU. He verbally committed in Oct/Nov of his freshmen year. For that reason Archie, just like most/all coaches did not pursue or recruit him because he was verbally committed.
I believe Cohill is considered more of a point guard and Dane is considered more of a shooting guard with the possibility of playing a small forward in a three guard line-up
