Yes, I was watching! Holloway makes a fantastic block and UMass has a chance for the last shot winner but Clark takes a wild off balance shot! Get the ball to Holloway inside for a layup!

I bet Kellogg is really happy that's he got that extra timeout in his pocket right now.
Down 69-68 with 5.7 to play and doesn't call a timeout to set up a inbounds play. Instead tries to just lob it to Holloway while the inbounder is getting pressured making the pass very difficult and it's overthrown.

Nice to see Fordham turning the corner (perhaps). Nothing to do with yesterday's win, but Feinstein has an interesting piece in today's Washington Post about the glory year of '71 - Digger's big year in the Bronx. About the time he was heading for South Bend I was returning to the Hudson Valley and worked as a reporter in Digger's hometown (Beacon, NY) - got to know him during those early years when he was at ND when he'd come home to visit his folks. https://www.washingtonpost.com/sport...=.c4e119dcfa4c

Yup. This aint your Grandpappys Fordham team. This coach might be a pretty good one. He's getting decent players too. That gym is literally 100 years old. Im sure the facilities are horrid. He'll jump first chance he gets. Nice talent, Chartouny,Sengfelder,Anderson and the other tall white guy was pretty good too. Pretty impressive considering the resources

Fordham may be getting better but it kills the A-10 when Fordham loses to Sacred Heart and a down Manhattan team in non conference play.

Got to admit that I kept expecting UMass to take the lead and pull away but Fordham fought back. The Rams wanted this and I had to check a couple times to make sure that this was being played in Amherst.
Wild finish and that may be a metaphor for the A10 this year.

Live in NJ and been to UD v. Fordham games at Rose Hill. There is not much you can say about the gym except that you get a good, close up view of the game and the bar downstairs is open at half time. One of the best basketball games I ever saw was when both teams were ranked and Marquette with Chones and Memminger beat Fordham in two overtimes in Madison Square Garden. If they had played on a neutral court, Marquette would have won without a problem.
Have friends that graduated from Fordham and I understand that Fordham is in A10 to give league a New York City presence. Maybe the gym has a lot to do with it, but I have never understood why, considering the well known teams Fordham plays against and the competition, Fordham cannot recruit at least one or two very good recruits per year in the NY, NJ, CT areas. And since St. Johns program has fallen considerable. Fordham has had coaches successful at other programs over the past years but without success on the floor.
I went to Sacred Heart v. Wagner game yesterday and Sacred Heart is not very good and lost to Wagner. Then Fordham comes back and beats VCU and UMASS. Go figure.

Fordham would be even better if Eric Pascal didn't transfer to Villanova.
