LOL. Its too bad UD doesn't have a higher quality feed. I'm hoping once they get the video boards the quality of the feed improves because I would think they would need some higher quality cameras, etc to go with the video boards.

This might be a boring game....hopefully we put these guys away by the 10 min mark. Should get some good pt for Oliver, Hill, and Spearman in this one.
Well, I take this back.......

It's unfortunate this game won't see us lead wire to wire.
Wright should be able to take them off the dribble anytime he wants.

Why are experimenting with lineups when we don't even have the lead?

Umm... Not saying the sky is falling, but what's going on here? Did we overlook Savannah State or are we just playing around with them before we unleash our fury?

I agree with you but on the other hand as bad as Savannah St is, it shouldn't really matter who we play.

After a physically and emotionally draining comeback 2 days ago, I kind of expected us to come out slow. I expect our depth (and their foul trouble) to contribute to a comfortable win in the end.

This is the type of game that probably won't punish us for playing poor D. Not sure how much we will learn that we need to learn on defense from this game.
Benson continues with a nice rebound after a poor first 2 games.

Wow... Do we have a long way to go. We simply cannot play like this on our own home court. Three home games and we've looked to same in each one in the first half... Out of sync.

Obviously we're not defending the perimeter very well, but what is it about the Arena that brings out the best three-point shooting a buy-game can buy? Law of averages says you don't make 27-footers 60 percent of the time. Geez ...

Savannah State has successfully slowed the pace of this game to a crawl. We need to get some stops/turnovers then get out and run.

Wright was standing still for about 5 secs and that's a block. Is there an official in the NCAA that can consistently make the right call with a block/charge?

For the life of me, I don't understand how teams shoot this well from three in our own house. And before anyone says it's our D, I would bet Sav St wouldn't hit this many threes in warmups.

Well this is embarrassing! We have to come ready to play every night and it is obvious that we did not tonight. Hopefully BG is causing the paint to peel off the walls of the locker room as I am typing this.

I am not worried. We are tough at home in non-conference play. They are shooting out of their minds and we are down 3? Not worried. Having said that, if we play like this during conference play, well, that is a different story.

Manhattan - why are you watching this on Game Tracker. Go to the daytonflyers.com website click on Men's BB and then click on schedule and then click on video for the game. Watching it is so much better then Game Tracker.

They seem like sloppy turnovers: travelling against the press, 5 second violation near midcourt, getting stripped going up for shots, etc. Dayton's playing an uninspired game right now; they look really rough.

I agree.....when they miss we are playing great defense and when they make we are playing bad defense. I know that ball pressures impacts the percentage, but some of these shots are just ridiculous....

You've got that right. I've seen enough of Kav and Oliver for the night. Play the top 7 and Spearman. You can start playing everyone once we get ahead and have this game under control.

The camera work on this "telecast" is absolutely comical. I can live with the end zone shot on free throws but that is it. We don't need to see students jumping up and down while ther ball is in play. We don't need the "scoreboard" to cover up the action and it doesn't need to be on for five seconds.
Is anybody in charge of this operation? What are they thinking? It really is embarrassing. I wonder if anyone in our athletic department has ever watched one of these "telecasts". I can't believe they would be proud of it.

It seems like every team we brought in last season shot the lights out for about 25 minutes. I don't know what it is about the Arena, but they seem to love it.
Here's a 1-4 team, shooting 65% in ft's, and 34% from 3pt so far this year and they come in and shoot
100% and 58%. Give me a break!
They are due for a very cold spell.

Well, since you asked, I was in a meeting and thought the live feed might be a little more distracting than the ESPN Gametracker.

I wish I knew who was in charge of it because I think they should be forced to watch so they would know how bad it really is. The crowd shot during play is horrible, but the floor level shot during play is just as bad.

Live shot of the band changing hats! I always wondered when they changed, it seems like every time I look over there they have new hats.

I love when you get the perfect camera angle to see a backdoor, alley oop develop. It is wonderful to watch.

In case we needed a reminder that we're playing Savannah State, they just failed to even get a shot off before the buzzer. Hard to watch.

Another reason we don't need a 4 or 5 defending 25 feet from the basket: blocking fouls on our bigs.
Edit: LOL, and on cue Benson gets a steal to shut me up.

Benson is the most skilled big man since Mark Ashman, his ceiling is sky high. I think Parker likes to shoot more than Lowery did, which I thought would be impossible.

Not a good night thus far for Staten from the free throw line. He's maybe 2-7 or so.

It would take a miracle for Juwan to be a good freethrow shooter with no arch on the shot. The staff must get him to put some air in the shot.

Seems like it's been awhile since CW has done anything worthwhile. And I'm not talking about just this game.

Apparently at Oak Hill no need to worry about practicing free throws.

Because we took them lightly and didn't come ready to play. This one is going down to the wire.

Unfortunately, until Staten gets his foul shooting in order, I don't know haw BG can keep him in a close game in the last few minutes. His inability to shoot foul shots certainly is not going to go unnoticed by conference coaches.

Juwan needs to watch film of Derek Fisher of the Lakers shoot FTs. He gets some serious air under his tosses.

A loss tonight would be hard to overcome on selection sunday. It would cancel anything the Miss game did for us.
Come on guys, play smart!

It would definitely be in the "bad loss" portion of the graphic. It's bad enough that the game is close, let alone Dayton trailing. Dayton really needs to show some urgency, some intensity. Right now they're consistently second to every ball.
