vs #1 Vanderbilt
Weekend 3 game series with the #1 ranked Commodores. Hope we can even be somewhat competitive. Can't remember ever playing the #1 team in baseball - much less having a series. This is after we had a series with #9 Georgia a couple of weeks ago. Hunter Wolfe was A-10 pitcher of the week last week. He will be the starter for the first game this afternoon.

Lost the other two, but only 5-2 and 2-0. All six losses this year are against Top10 teams.

I've been to a few PAC 12 games. Baseball at the warm weather schools is like minor league ball....very good; enjoyable. Beautiful ball parks. (Ours is very nice too; but we don't draw thousands of fans, understandably).

I think LSU routinely leads the country in attendance. 7-10K a game I think. The top schools basically play in minor league parks.
Oregon State has managed to buck the warm-weather narrative in the last few years but UAC is right in that the number of programs that fight for titles above the Mason Dixon line are few and far between. You simply cant be any good at a sport that requires you to be outside 12mths a year to practice it honestly.
