Questions
1. If not for the two 0.4 second wins, would VCU be headed to the NIT?
2. Would you rather be a 7 seed with XU in or an 8 seed with XU in the NIT?
3. Why was Pollard in the game to pick up his 4th at that point in the game?
4. Is Red Panda really that good? Seems overrated.
5. Are we ranked on Monday with a win to round out the regular season?
6. How many minutes did KP and Cunningham play together tonight?
7. There is no way XU gets in if they lose to Marquette at home, right?
8. I mean, no way.
9. Does GW have anything to play for on Saturday, other than senior night?
10. There is no way XU gets in, right?

Oh I agree, I just want to see if anyone has the level of XU hatred necessary to want this.

Disagree. If nothing else, they gave minutes, which sometimes is all you need. Plus, IIRC, Cunningham scored in double digits tonight, including an incredible shot with about 2 seconds left on the inbounds pass that put us back up 4.

Somewhat off topic, but a question nonetheless that I heard on the post game show tonight. Who are the best players of the AM era? D-Mo, Scoochie, and JS come to mind, but I'd like to see how the board ranks the best players of the Archie era.

Let me know when you can ride a 12 ft tall unicycle, put 5 bowls on your right foot, while balancing on said unicycle with your left foot, and then swing your foot in the air and have all 5 bowls land in the other ones on your head, in the right order, and without them falling on the floor.
I'm sure the Flyers will pay you to perform that same act IF you can do it.

Umm, I'll add the guy who started as a Freshman, made 3 straight FTs against OSU to put us up by one prior to Vees kiss to be remembered, made the all-regional NCAA team during our elite eight run, played center at 6'5 for us in his Junior year and got scre-wed by the school and suspended for a semester his senior season.

Cunningham goes 27 mins 10 point 4 rebs. 1 st and makes a tough turn around jumper at the end of the shot clock...If that is nothing I'll take it!

Not to mention that fade away swish he made when inbounded to him with 4 seconds on the shot clock was huge.

In my book there's a 3 way tie for first because and DMO could make it four but it's hard for me to pick one between Scooch, Sibert and Pierre. Though Pierre was the best all-around player.

Answers:
1) If they lost anywhere other than the A-10 Finals? Probably.
2) 7 Seed, definitely. "F" X! I want to avoid the 1 Seed as long as possible.
3) Offense, and specifically the dribble drive. With no real post-up threat, we needed someone who could get to the rack. KP was our best, most proven option.
4) Can you do that? Neither can I. 'Nuff said.
5) No. P5 bias kicks-in.
6) Dunno. Check the box score.
7) Wrong. If they right the ship and make it to the BE semis, I think they're in. Anything short of that, and they're on shaky ground.
8) See #7.
9) Yes. The pride that comes from beating the league champion in the season finale. A better Seed in the conference tournament. Maybe others.
10) See #8.

Pierre was the best player probably, but it's hard for me to put him above Scoochie or JS. D-Mo was the heart of the team, kinda like KD is now. It is going to be a fun rest of the season, nothing will surprise me barring a first round loss, all the stars are lined up in our direction at the moment.

Cunningham--nothing? Did you see his fade-away jumper as the shot clock ran out when we desperately needed a bucket? Scored in double figures, 4 rbs and defended well. Where were you?

Here's how i would rank the top 10 archie players (with a gun to my head):
1. Jordan Sibert (because he led our elite 8 run and he was the first Power5 guy to sign on to our program and believe in Archie)
2. Scoochie (because he has been a steady ship and so clutch whenever we needed him)
3. Dyshawn Pierre (he's unfairly my #3 even though he was the most well rounded player of the last 6 years)
4. Kyle Davis (his heart and defense has won us so many games, including one of his very first games as a flyer. Also a surprisingly clutch shooter when it matters)
5. Devin Oliver (his growth and effort are off the charts. He was also critical to our elite 8 run and i think his leadership setup a blueprint for our program)
6. Kendall Pollard (seems cruel to have him this low, because he has been a guy who has had to pretend he's 4 inches taller than he is for the last four years. What a man. Love his heart.)
7. Charles Cooke (talk about cruel. He's probably the most talented and pro-ready guy we have had, but i think i give emotional points to many of the guys who came before him because of that elite 8 run. But what an amazing addition to our program. The last two years gaudy records would not have been possible without him. And hopefully there's room for charles to move up the charts with this year's run)
8. Vee Sanford. He could have only hit the game winner vs. osu as his only D1 bucket and he'd be in the top 10 in my all time list. What a huge contribution he made in that game and many others. Another P5 guy who believed in Archie early on.
9. Steve McElvene. In one real season of play he broke the all-time shotblocking record at UD. It's hard to imagine the player he might have become after four years under Archie. Just tragic to think about what could have been and how hard it must be for his poor family to recover from it.
10. Bobby Wehrli. I know this is kinda nuts because he wasn't top 10 in talent, but the kid was a huge element in our elite 8 run. He was solid and did way more than anyone could have ever expected.

A couple things, if anyone led our elite eight run it was Pierre(he was picked for the all-regional team). Maybe you're talking for the whole season plus NCAA tourney, then I might agree but still have hard time between him, DMO and DP.
Bobby Wehrli did nothing in our Elite Eight run, it was the year later when we went out in round of 32.
Vee came before Sibert as a P5 guy.
If we are focusing on the elite eight run though, I think it's difficult to leave Kavs off because we would've gone absolutely nowhere without his big body under the basket.
Honorable mention to Dillard and CJ(half his career was under AM). And if you throw Wehrli in there for his stepping up in that season of only 7 players, maybe Baby D should be tossed in there for that as well plus the awesome senior season he's going to have

That was an absolutely huge play he made. In my mind- changed the direction of momentum back to UD - not to mention, one hell of a difficult shot. THIS is why having Josh back was so important. This team is special

And Mikesell also made a huge 3 in the 1st half when VCU was making a run and had momentum. Really, some of these people think that scoring the ball is the only contribution that can be made...They need to read BB 101....

I love Red Panda. Not over-rated IMO. They even showed a highlight on TV in the middle of the second half.
I watched it twice regular speed, and then a third time in slow motion. Amazing. Its not like all the bowls all fly up in a stack together either. They are all spinning in different direction.
Plus we are undefeated at home on senior night when playing for the A-10 championship when Red Panda is the halftime act.

Heh! Jack, were you at the game or listening on the radio or watching a stream? If you were, it must of been a different game.

That was the most important play of the game. Obviously, Josh is still getting into condition and his game is not as sharp as it was in November, but his presence has been ultra-valuable in the last five games.

Honestly don't care what X is doing. UD needs to watch their own bobber.
I crashed a lot trying to learn to ride a unicycle and break plates just trying to get them into the dishwasher.
I'd like to see Crosby get a lot of minutes against GW.

We are making progress. You didn't have to mention Crosby or Darrell.
Sincerely, that is progress.
And of course you are wrong on Williams and Mikesell, and really wrong on Cunningham.
So probably the next guy to get skewered and comes back to stick it in our face will be Sam Miller since it seems this board has to target someone all the time, and right now he is a big target with room to grow or his bullseye will get bigger.

Very simple:
1) We won - the strategy worked.
2) F. X. Don't know, don't care, I'm a Flyer.

Just trying to add some humor here. Relax. Don't take life too seriously. We are all Flyers. I believe the site is UDPride.

My bad, Cunningham should not be on that list. I went brain dead, or victory dead, on that one!

Anyone have an idea of how long KP and Josh played together?
What was the score for the time that they were on the court together?
I think that gives us such a different look and one that we may need in the NCAA against bigger teams.

If my calculations are correct (the play-by-play is missing a few sub ins and sub outs), they played together for 10:07. The combined score for that period was 23-10 UD.

Weren't there times last night when we had KP, Josh and XW on the floor at the same time too? Seemed to me that Arch was trying everything he could to deny MAC and nothing worked. I was surprised MAC only had 23 points as watching the game it seemed closer to 40.

That's why in the game thread I said we are making him look like Wilt Chamberlain because it felt like he was going to get to 100 because he was seemingly scoring every time he touched the ball.

Smitty, you have a much better memory than me! I think of CJ as a BG guy. He's one of my all time favorite flyers. This isn't easy. I think of Sibert just hitting a lot of clutch shots that year that even gave us a chance to dance. Can't remember who we played, but it was the first game of the season. KD stole a last second pass, got it to Sibert and Sibert nailed it. If we don't win that game, we may not even make the tourney. That guy was a huge shot in the arm to this program.

Can we stop referring to Kevin Dillard as anything but a cancer? He belongs on no Hall of Fame list, list of great players or an alumni game roster.
What is the infatuation with this dude?

Sorry can't let it go, Khari Price stole the ball, while face down on the ground rolled it through two defenders to Kyle who immediately found Sibert for the 3.
It was against IPFW and here's the replay to enjoy. It was Kyle's first ever assist. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8UpspGCR6Y

I didn't see all the off the court stuff though I did think he was very selfish with the ball his senior season. But he was one heck of a PG his Junior season and made us forget about the real cancer, Juwan Staten from the previous season.
How about messaging me what he did that's got you so up in arms, I really have no clue. Not saying it's not true, just don't know what he did.

No offense, my friend, but it seems plenty of other people disagree with your assessment of Josh.

So summing up:
* No love lost for XU, but not at the expense of UD
* GW will come to play
* KP should not have been on the floor then (AM admitted as much)
* Not sure if we will be ranked, but it will be close
* Red Panda could probably walk on water while balancing bowls
