Off Topic - Pittsburgh BB -- Sad

A really good article on ESPN. Only 2333 people showed up to see their OT win vs Mount St mary's. 2333!! Ben Howland and then Jamie Dixon made that school
a yearly powerhouse in college basketball. Not so much anymore. I believe in our AD and Coach and more than that, the UD FANS who continue to support the team by PAYING money and going to the games. I'm old, but I wish someday to return and go to the Pine Club for a steak and a game.
Best to all
Merry Christmas

I believe that t he difference between schools that have "front runner" fans, like Pitt. UNLV and others is that that the Dayton fans consider the Flyers as part of who they are, thick or thin, win or lose the Flyers are our team. some other schools also have this trait, but it is a big difference in the support of a team over time.We are not unique, but are rare.

Quite a fall from just a couple years ago.

Some of the comments are saying that joining the ACC was a mistake. I am 100% sure Cincy or UConn would love to replace them.

Sort of feels like the same situation with Cincy basketball: attendance never recovered after Huggins was fired.
