1 down 4 to go
Big step forward today with the win at home over SLU. It wasn't pretty in the first half. Flyers down by 10, had scored like 9 points in 12+ minutes. But this time, the managed to stop the bleeding early, clawed their way back and took a 1 point lead at the half on a deep three by Crutcher.
That seemed to give them so momentum as they came out shooting much better in the second half. Crutcher hit some deep threes along with way, plus a few by Davis, Mikesell, and Landers even hit one!
Cunningham was steady if not spectacular, Toppin with another double-double. Policelli played a bit in the first half, was a bit out of control on his drives but was nice to see a little aggressiveness out of him.
Good thing those missed FTs at the end didn't hurt us. SLU is terrible at FTs, especially French. Wow. And Bess had an off game. Would like to think we played good D on him, but I think he was also off just a bit.
Flyers stayed out of foul trouble, while SLU had French and Thatch foul out, and I think someone else had 4 maybe.
Great win, now on to UMass!

I think Bess has been playing with some type of injury. Maybe ankle?

Nice game by our Flyers! Jalen crushed it tonight, Trey stepped up with timely scoring. Glad to see Josh get lots of touches, despite their attempts at denying him the ball coach Grant... wonderful job coaching today, especially in the first half when things could have gotten out of hznd.
