UD vs Nicholls State
3-0
25-15, 25-18, 25-13
Four matches in two days and eight matches in eight days is a lot of volleyball. Went 6-2 over that stretch. The "X" win was obviously the best of the bunch. Losing to Cleveland State and Charlotte - not so much.
Not sure what we learned from this trip. Swept the three patsies and lost to the one mediocre team. Would have felt a lot better about the trip if we had gone 4-0.
At Duquesne, La Salle, and Penn next weekend.

I wasn't shocked with the Cleveland State match. I remember when they played at UD's tournament and they had good talent and were well coached.
I was also hoping for 4-0 this weekend but there are definitely some positives
Amber has played great after getting into the lineup. Isolde has also really stepped up her offensive game. this will help free up the outside hitters. Jane appears (based on stats only) to be focusing on getting the ball more to the middles.
When the middles are getting set it also means that the passing is good. As this team improves it's service receive the offensive numbers will continue to go up.
Less service errors this weekend
They took care of business in the last three matches as expected.
The two matches next weekend would seem to be winnable but they do need to play well

Sporting games are fickle, I say that because Dayton beat Jacksonville 3-0, lost to Charlotte 1-3 and Charlotte lost to Jacksonville 1-3. Go figure.
Jenna Jendryk was on all tournament team.
Not sure how Charlotte won the tournament as they and Dayton had identical records.

Did Jacksonville only play three matches? If that is the case then UD and Charlotte were in a two way tie which would be broken with head to head competition.
