La Salle Game Thread
It's Senior Night at the Arena! Thank you Josh and Jack! Shake off our 1st bad loss of the year and get back at it on Wednesday and get closer to clinching a top 4 seed (hopefully on the other side of VCU). Ashley Howard has done a really good job with the Explorers and they play really hard.
Game is at 7 PM on Wednesday night and will be shown on Spectrum News One & ESPN+.
Potential Starting Lineup:
G 25 Traci Carter 6’1” 175 RS JR Philadelphia, PA
G 1 David Beatty 6’2” 200 SO Philadelphia, PA
G 13 Saul Phiri 6’4” 210 JR Haverhill, MA
G 10 Isiah Deas 6’6” 195 JR Brooklyn, NY
F 11 Ed Croswell 6’8” 255 FR Philadelphia, PA
Leading scorer Pookie Powell (16.2 PPG) did not play the last 2 games due to an injury, so we'll see if he is available. They shoot the ball pretty darn well from 3 so keep an eye on that, Deas 12.4 PPG (36.3% 3PT) & Phiri 11.8 PPG (41.2% 3PT)... One more person to keep an eye on, Freshman Ed Croswell is one of the better rebounders in the conference (7 RPG) and one of the better offensive rebounders in the country.
Do not underestimate them.
Get the job done! Win it for the 2 Seniors! Go UD!
One more thing... Wednesday would have been his senior night but RIP Big Fella, we will always remember!

One reason I hate ESPN+ is because something just came up for me and now I can't watch it or DVR it like I do when games are on regular TV.

It's like Cunningham has forgot how to get open for a pass. Of course Crutcher, et al with their slow motion one handed passing does not help.

Seeing the game on TV last Friday and then hearing it tonight, it appears that Josh is frustrated by the lack of calls he gets / slash that he DOESN'T get. And it affects his whole game

his issue is
1) just readi to move on
2) girl problems
3) not getting those calls when he should have
4) injury
5) something else ... I donno but it has become a trend that is hard to ignore over the latter half of the season.
Just wondering why, how or what ..... I feel for him. Wish him luck as this season winds down and he moves on to whatever he wants to do.

Great finish for Josh. How come it took so long?
A spurt of 3 minutes ties it all up with a bow but I still wonder why it is like that. What happens in the other 37 minutes?

Great ending for the seniors. Josh ends with 18 points on that 3. What an ending for Jack.
45 second half points on 70% shooting and 63% from three.
LaSalle was about as bad a team as we played this year.

Thirty minutes of uninspired hoops, ten minutes of decency, made to look better by LaSalle’s horrid shooting. But I’ll take it. Hopefully, the guys broke out of a funk. And the way Josh AND Jack finished up at the Arena was storybook. Not too shabby all things considered.
